January 2012 and 18 previous months data\" href=\"https:\/\/mykitsaprealestate.net\/wordpress\/2012\/02\/13\/monthly-sales-of-banbk-owned-foreclosures-and-short-sales-compared-with-total-home-sales-in-kitsap-county-january-2012-and-18-previous-months-data\/\">go here <\/a><\/strong>)<\/em><\/p>\n<p>This graph shows monthly data for the number and percentage of distressed home sales (comprised of REO&#8217;s (bank owned, foreclosures) and Short Sales), compared with total home sales in Kitsap County.\u00a0 The current data is through the end of December 2011 and includes 18 months of prior data.<\/p>\n<p>Sales of distressed properties increased 7% from the previous month, to a total of 34% of all homes sold in Kitsap County for the month of December 2011.\u00a0 As you can see by looking at the graph, this approaching the upper end of the range we&#8217;ve seen for over 18 months.\u00a0 I find it very interesting\u00a0to see how relatively consistent the sales of distressed properties is as a percentage of\u00a0total monthly home sales in Kitsap County, month over month for over 2 years running.<\/p>\n<p><em><strong>-Brian Wilson, Broker<\/strong><\/em><br \/>\n<em><strong>John L.
