Bainbridge Island Home Sales, Prices and Trends for October 2012<\/p><\/div>\n

Real Estate sales, prices & trends on Bainbridge Island for the month of October were all significantly higher than in September.\u00a0 This is a County-wide trend, but North Kitsap and Bainbridge Island had increases significantly above the County averaged data.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The number of homes Sold jumped from 35 in September to 48<\/strong> in October<\/strong><\/em> which is an increase of over 31%<\/strong><\/em> month over month and near monthly highs for over 18 months.\u00a0 <\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n

The Average Selling price <\/strong>jumped a whopping 27% <\/strong>from just over $483,000 in September<\/strong> to nearly $615,000 in October!<\/strong><\/em>\u00a0 Incredibly, the median price<\/strong><\/em> for all homes sold during October also jumped nearly 26%,<\/strong><\/em>\u00a0 from $395,500 to $498,250!<\/strong><\/em>\u00a0 This increase was nearly the same as the increase for the average selling price.\u00a0 A strong performance indeed!<\/strong><\/p>\n

Distressed property sales (REO & Short Sales) remained at a low of only 15% of the homes Sold <\/strong>which is less than the number of distressed sales in September and lower than the County as a whole.<\/p>\n
